Wenchuan County First School

The school roof adopts Joaboa Tech's 1.5mm PET Self-adhesive Bituminous Waterproofing Membrane, and the construction is carried out by Wet-application method.

With the use of wet cement as substrate treatment, the construction process is very simple and fast. As it has low requirements on the base surface, wet or even not leveled base surface can be constructed, not affected by the weather, the rainy season construction advantage is more prominent.

Due to these characteristics, the construction team successfully completed the waterproof construction task of Wenchuan No.1 Middle School according to the scheduled period, with a total waterproof area of about 20,000 square meters.

On August 8, 2009, Wenchuan No. 1 Middle School, the largest project aided by Guangdong Province in Wenchuan, was completed with a total investment of 270 million Chinese Yuan.

Joaboa Tech undertook the waterproofing project, which built a solid waterproofing system for the reconstruction of earthquake-stricken areas.
Located in Yanmen Township, about 4 kilometers away from the county seat, Wenchuan No. 1 Middle School was built on the site of the north campus of Weizhou Middle School. With the assistance from Guangdong Province and Jiangmen City and the reconstruction organized by Jiangmen City, Wenchuan No. 1 Middle School covers an area of more than 110,000 square meters, with a total investment of about 270 million Chinese Yuan and a total construction area of 68,900 square meters (excluding teachers' revolving houses).

It took just over 180 days from the first shovel of earth excavated on Feb. 3 to the completion of the project, and 19 buildings went up. The project was completed 12 days earlier than the scheduled date of Aug. 20.
